On 16th of August 2012 the sinking is planned of "the Chang" Navy ship. This will be a spectacular wreck dive, the bottom will be on 30m, the top deck on 14m, if all goes to plan. The ship is 100 m long, making it the biggest wreck in Thailand. It will be sunk close to Hin Luk Bath, so quite close to Bang Bao.
The ship has lots of things to explore, including the captain’s cabin and mast at 12m/f.t depth, troop cabins, the engine room, briefing rooms, the main holding area and much more. Among marine species occupying the wreck, divers can spot groupers, barracudas, squid, octopus, batfish, butterfly fish and shrimpfish as well as plenty of other tropical fish.
Today we have the under water photos to show you.
